tragedy

I was driving the other day and I slightly lost control. This resulted in me hitting a reflector sign and driving in and out of a ditch at about 55 mph. I think in the process I had a fairly rough impact with a hole. Now my right front tire is scraping the back side only when I turn right and making an atrocious noise. The tire has been pushed back. Help me out please?

Re: tragedy

Sounds like you bent the suspension, but some more details would be nice, and a photo would be very helpful.

So your out with your buddies driving doing the "puff puff pass" and when you turned around to pass it you went in the ditch, hit a culvert, and now wondering what lie to tell your parents????

No, man... you pass to your right so he wouldn't have had to turn around assuming someone was in the passenger seat, unless he turned around to take it from the rear seat passenger. And if they were playing "puff puff pass", they wouldn't have been going 55, more like idling in 3rd . Sounds more like drinking to me. Anyway, you're lucky you didn't flip it over. I went into a ditch still going about 70ish (I think, I don't remember for sure)and wound up on the roof.

The anonymity of the net is a great thing. We will not think any less of you if you fully admit that you lost control and had an accident, no "slightly" about it.

We really need to know the make, year and model of the vehicle. Many later model cars typically will bend the lower control arm before bending the frame or structure of the car. If the impact was hard enough, you may have numerous damaged components, including the tire, rim, steering knuckle, steering rack or linkage, strut or upper arm, etc,

Also some pics would help. However, IMO take it to a good alignment shop, have them do some measurements to determine what is bent and by how much.
