Re: 99 oil pump ????
Is it a knock or a noisy valve train?
Sounds like some symptoms of a bad oil pump tho. The hardest part is pulling the oil pan off and re-sealing it. The car has to sit oil free for 2 days while the sealant cures.

Re: 99 oil pump ????
Ours died out of no where. No abnormal noise just an oil light. The 2200 is notorious for having a noisy valve or 2 which might be fixable by re-torquing down the rockers. But an oil light usually isn't a good sign.
But anyways, we Kissed that valve train goodbye. Ended up draining 8 quarts of oil out of the motor tho when we dropped the pain and realize how much shit was bad. But now we're running an oil pressure gauge, a melling HV pump, and the motor is fully built with forged rods and pistons.
