4.6 and 5.4 Mod motors

I was wondering if it is possible to oversize the bore on these motors substantially? The 5.4L engine we (Aussies) have in our GT Falcon has a 105.8mm stroke, which is too much for any serious rpm (by serious I mean < 5500rpm) so I was wondering if the bore can be extended by up to say 10mm?

Ford was doing some experiments with spray bore tech, which was removing the sleeves and using a spray to harden the walls, but apparently that plan was scrapped. I'm not sure what the FR500 crate motor consists of as so far as what the data is in regards to bore and stroke, but this much is sure: several companies are involved with modular displacement increases. SHM, is one I know of, that sell shortblocks bored and stroked.

Yeh I was looking at SHM, and really like the sound of the 5.2L motor, with the square bore and stroke. I'd rather a short block though, so I can build my own titanium valve train, and possibly billet (well forged at least) bottom end, pistons and rods. Is 3.70 inches a standard piston diameter?

what 5.2 engine are you talking about? Ford had one back in the day, GM had a couple, Chryslers had allot of different ones...?
