Post A/C regulator location

Have a E320 1995 straight 6 w210 saloon. The heater blower only runs on very slow speed no matter what temperature is set except when turned to high or low it turns off altogether. Any ideas. if it is the regulator where do I find it?

Re: A/C regulator location

measure the voltage that goes into the motor. it should read at 12 something.

if the motor is not spinning freely, you can actually oil it up--but it may have burned the regulator.

The blower control unit (aka: regulator with heat sink, blower regulator, 'porcupine' resistor) is located in the blower housing behind the blower motor. As a result, the blower control unit is constantly cooled when the blower motor is running. so, whne it's not spinning freely.... you understand.

To gain access to the current regulator, remove the blower motor with bracket and the mounting screws (arrows), pull up carefully on the housing.
Remove the blower control from the side.
Three nuts attach the current regulator to the heatsink.
