interior lights

My interior lights stay on during operation and the door chime stays on also. Also, when you turn off the car, the interior lights stay on. What can I do to fix this. My husband takes out the circuit breaker but that means you can not use the windows or electric door locks

Re: interior lights

I had that same problem with my 02 last year. I cleaned the electrical contacts in both sliding door jambs, and lubricated the door ajar switch for the rear hatch (one on each side). Not sure which one fixed it, but I never had the problem again.

Re: interior lights

Just to add to hoofarted's reply, spray to door latches liberally with WD40, all the doors. This sometimes takes a while to work, but usually does it.
