1989 Pickup shift know removal
My shift knob for my truck, is worn out, so i bought a new one, but i cant figure out how to get the old one off. Has anyone removed one before? Thanks

On all mine it just unscrews.

Thats what i figured, but mine seems to turn the shifter and i'm afraid if i keep twisting, i'll mess something up...

Try holding the shifter rod with vice grips.
BTW, it shouldn't rotate, you may have another problem.
