5W-30 ok?

I changed the oil for the first time in our new/used 2001 SE Wagon. I purchased the oil and filter ahead of time and purchased 5w-30. Later that night I went to change the oil and on the oil fill cap it stated to use 5w-20. I installed the 5w-30 that I bought anyway because the oil was all drained and that was all that I had. I dont think there is too much of a differance between 530 and 520 to cause any problems, is there?

Re: 5W-30 ok?

You will be fine. Ford recommends this weight oil for fuel economy.
