Various Electrical Probs, 97 Grand Voyager
6 months ago, I lost all dashlights and climate control lights. Still have the digital odometer and gear box. Yesterday my husband and brother were replacing the stereo. The new one wouldn't work, so they put the old one back in...and it won't work either. (The speakers click on, but that is it.) No headlights, interior lights, or power door locks unless the van is on. I took it to Autozone to be coded, and the two readers he tried wouldn't even come on, he said my plug must be bad, to go along with the other host of problems. Husband is not into electrical systems, and is not looking forward to checking the circuit board (also found here
 ). Fuses under the dash look to be fine (I did ask him to replace them anyway, it has not been done yet) We cannot find the IOD fuse I have read about here, nor where to find it. HELP!!!

IOD fuse is fuse #10 in the PDC (Power Distribution Center) which is in the the eng compartment on the drivers side by the battery. This fuse also feeds the DLC connector that autozone tried to get the codes from. If there is no power at pin 16 on that connector the scan tool will not power up. Sounds like the replacement stereo possibly is bad and blew the fuse;or the key was on when it was plugged in to the van. When a component is unplugged or plugged in make sure the key is off. Better yet to disconnect the battery in some instances if you are not sure.

Thank you! I'll have him check it in the morning. I appreciate your help, and will post my findings. If it *does* have to be replaced, do you know about how much it would cost? Thanks

10 from the top or bottom? According to the cover, 10 from the bottom is ABS, which we do not have. He checked it, went 10 down from the top, a yellow 20 amp fuse. Said it is not blown. Any other suggestions?

Should be at the far right end of the PDC when standing at the drivers side wheel well. Should be labeled IOD/Memory. May have a yellow or white plastic holder around it.
