Do Dodge Caravan's have PCV valves?
My elderly father took his car to a mechanic & he told him he has to have his PVC valve changed. I told him I'd do it for him & I went around to a few places looking for the PCV valve for his 2006 Dodge caravan. 3 places already told me they dont have one listed for the vehicle. Im very confused I though all vechiles had PCV valves? does this car have one? if it doesnt, what am I supposed to replace?
Thank you |

Re: Do Dodge Caravan's have PCV valves?
According to the ONLINE SERVICE MANUAL in this forum, the PCV is located on the valve cover closest to the radiator.

On my '96 3.3 it plugs in just to the left of the throttle body.

Re: Do Dodge Caravan's have PCV valves?
I would question the dealers honesty unless he is having a problem , the van is only 2 years old . Unless he has put on like 60000 miles in 2 years I doubt it needs to be replaced yet . I think it is screwed into the valve cover on the back side of the engine which is difficult to get at so the dealer would probably charge him at least a half hours labor about $45 just for labor , and overcharge him for a pcv valve .
