help!!

got problem, neeed help. my freestlye seems to be locked
when i turn key on i get nothing , on the dashboard i get the symbol of a car with alock around it also a wrench light comes on
what is this? help anybody

Are you using the original key? If you had one made at walmart it will not have the majic microchip. Or you chip has been shorted out, can we say $100. Worst case, will have to towed to a ford dealer for reprograming. Had you worked on it or messed with little black boxes??

Hey, I am a ford certified tech, and my first question is do you have a known good key? If you don't, then yes you're going to pay about $80 to have a key cut and programmed for you. It sucks, but there's no way around it. TRUST ME.
