Driver Side interior door handle 2000 LS

I think the cable for door latch on driver side front interior handle has stretched because it now takes extra effort to get door to open. I have removed door panel and everything appears to be fine. Again the only thing I can think that has happened is the cable has stretched. Any suggestions on how to repair or do I order new cable assembly from dealer?

There are a few plastic parts in the system that are more likely to stretch than the cable. I'd also suggest you take a close look at the latch, maybe clean and lubricate it, and inspect for springs that may be broken.
