Buzzing noise

I recently bought a 2002 Yukon XL with a 5.3L engine. I hear a buzzing noise almost like a small electric motor when acclerating and the faster I go the faster the buzzing sound. Anyone experience this and knows how to get rid of the noise?

Re: Buzzing noise

Sounds like either the fuel pump or the ABS brakes.

Re: Buzzing noise

can you tell where its coming from? I have a buzzing coming from a speaker looking thing on the driver side headliner.
Also my fuel pump went bad on a 2001 and it whined but didnt change pitch while accelerating.
I dont even know what the speaker looking thing is, too lazy to find out.

Re: Buzzing noise

It is not Onstar or the Microphone (part of the cell phone option). It is called an Aspirator and it is used for climate control.

My truck doesn't have onstar. Onstar was offered in later 2001 models. I guess my truck was built with a rediness package when onstar wasn't available. I'm just wondereing why it buzzes usually onlt diring the first 5 min of running.

disregard above.

I thought it had something to do with the climate control. but why it buzzes I dunno.
