Re: 2000 corolla rear struts
First things first do you have a spring compressor? This makes the job much easier you can do it with out but that can be dangerous if you do not know what you are doing. expect the job to take all day in your drive way. do one side at a time. First raise and suport the vehicle by th body seam remove wheel then proceed to loosen the two strut bolt they are either a 19mm or 22mm (dont remember which for that specific car) now remove the bolt for the brake line and abs (if equipped) (12mmand/or10mm) next sepperate the strut and the spindle this will just dangle. Now you will need to reomove the side of the seat to gain acces to the top bolts. Remove the bottom bench seat you can do this by jerking on the front of the seat on both sides now remove the seat and you will see that the sides of the back seat are held in place by a bolt (12mm i think) remove bolt then push side up then out be careful not do break the side as there is a lip on the back. after doing this you will be able to get to the top. Now this is important DO NOT REMOVE THE 19mm BOLT!!! other wise the spring will come apart and could caus injury remove the three 14mm bolts now you can fish the strut assembly out and put in sping comressor.
