Electrical problems in cockpit

The stereo, lights, and even the clock won't work. I've checked all the fuses and all the wires that i could see and everything seemed fine. All the controls next to steering wheel work and all exterior lights work. Any ideas on what the problem could be? I know this is a tough question to ask over the internet but i figured it was worth a shot.

Re: Electrical problems in cockpit

Was this an intermittent problem or did it just appear? Was there anything unusual that preceded the problem?

Re: Electrical problems in cockpit

No power on the interior could be a wiring harness issue. Get a wiring diagram, do a ohms test on a couple of wires.. Test to see if you have continuity through the wires that are linked. Then test to see if you have continuity to wires that are close together. See if you have any shorts in the wires.

Re: Electrical problems in cockpit

I'm having the same problem, hit a pothole yesterday and lost all electrical systems, minus ignition and fuel. No clock, radio, gauges, headlamps, turn signals, brake lights...everything, but the engine still runs fine. I'm guessing a relay or the ignition switch, but haven't dug into it that far yet. About a year ago I lost one low beam and both high beams, they were only getting 1.5v, I never figured that one out, otherwise I haven't experienced any other electrical problems. Any other suggestions?

Re: Electrical problems in cockpit

Hard to say with that one but start with the basics: continuity to the affected systems, grounds and etc.
