Lowering???

I would like to lower my 90 Si. I dont really want to slam it or anything, im looking more performance than looks. I have heard pros and cons about coil overs and springs. Just wondering what everyone here thinks, or has had experience with both. Thanx.

If you have the money go for coilovers, I’m talking about real coilovers here that come with shocks & springs, as opposed to the ghetto sleeves with springs.

The only con for real coilovers is cost IMHO. Lowering your car with just lowering springs is a guaranteed way of killing your shocks, which will give less performance and cost you money in the long run.

If you want to keep cost down then get an average set of performance shocks with lowering springs to match. If money isn’t an issue then go for fully adjustable coilovers which allow both ride height adjustment (via spring platforms) and dampening adjustment (ride stiffness). This will allow you to lower the car for track whilst higher ride height for normal driving.

I have the H&R coilovers on my CR-X and can’t rate them enough.

I don't mean to steal the thread, but:

Ground Control Coilovers which use the the Prokit springs I believe
or
Eibach Sportline Springs with Tokico Blues?

The latter provides a lower drop, but will cost almost the same. I just didn't know if the sportlines looked too low/ricey.

How about those new Eibach RR springs? Anyone have those?

Then, what's the correct order? Rims then Suspension, or Suspension then Rims?
