2004 Malibu LS remote entry FOB

Got a new 3rd remote entry FOB for my 2004 Malibu LS. It has remote start as does the car. Do I have to take it to the stealership to have the new one programmed or can I do it? If I can what are the steps. The directions are not in the Owner's Maunal as are most of the other GM vehicles.

Did you figure out how to reprogram your remotes?

No, I don't think I can do it, must go to the dealer. That is what I figured would be te outcome.
