'98 GMC K 2500, 454 fuel pressure regulator
I am in the process of replacing the fuel pressure regulator and have hit a wall. I have the upper intake manifold off according to the directions that I have, but I am unable to get the regulator off without removing the fuel rail also (or so it seems). The book says to remove the upper intake manifold and then remove the regulator, I think that they left out a few key details. Did I miss a step or is there a better way to get at the regulator? I have the fuel line disconnected at the regulator and removed the bolt that holds the bracket the regulator is attached to. Still can't get it to move. Does the regulator some how come apart and I just can't wrap my old brain around how it is done?
Thanks in advance for your help.......Theodo |
