1991 Eagle Talon TSI Turbo Replacement

Hi I'm new to this forum. I have a 1991 Eagle Talon TSI that needs to have the turbo replaced. The mechanic is going to charge me over $600.00 for labor to put the turbo in. I'm thinking of doing it myself to save money, but I have never done any turbo work before. My question is how difficult is this to do? should I have the mechanic do it? Thanks for your help.

If you have any mechanical abilities it won't be very hard at all.
