Drivers side window acting up

2000 GT

A few days ago I go to put my window down & it slowly went down only about 2". The window was also very slow to go up. I get the feeling that the window is getting caught rather than the motor going bad. I removed the drivers side switch assembly & all connections to clean them but this did not help.

Re: Drivers side window acting up

My window switch went and it just didn't work at all. When my window did what yours is doing it was the cable in the assembly that was frayed. It got stuck at a certain point and would only go back up then. Check that out. Take the door panel off and you can see the cable all frayed in there if this is the problem for you. The hole in the metal is so small though that I had to bring it in to get fixed after fighting with it for hours to save some money LOL.
