different compression readings
Ok so last year I did a compression test on the GSX and came up with some pretty weird numbers. I don't really remember what they were, but they were completely different from what I made today, and I haven't made one change to the engine internals since.
So I got the engine to operating temp, and cranked it with the throttle plate opened and this is what I got
from Left to Right as your looking at the valve cover from the front.
160,150,190,195
The car runs fine and boosts strong, no burning oil, no oil in coolant and vice versa. I didn't do a wet compression test yet, but I read that there is a problem if there is more than a 15 psi gap between cylinders. I also read that if there are two cylinders next to each other that are considerably lower to the others, then there could be a leak in the head gasket causing compression to leak from one cylinder to the next.
Anybody care to fill me in or give me some suggestions as to whats up with cylinders 4 and 3?
