Replace Cruise Control Module 2002 Cavalier

Cruise control stopped working; I replaced the multi-function switch and checked fuses; then tested the car and cruise would still not work. Took to mechanic and he said the Cruise Control Module is malfunctioning.

Can I replace the Cruise Control Module by using an aftermarket Cruise Control Kit or do I need OE Cruise Control Module?

It doesn't seem to be difficult to replace although I have never replaced one.

What should I do?

Thank you,

Jerry

Re: Replace Cruise Control Module 2002 Cavalier

Go to parts store read Haynes book pg 12-13 follow instructions for diagnoses or just by book for future reference. Haynes service manual has good test for your cruise control. Way to much to list.
