rear suspension creaking

Hello guys,i posted this same one a while back about a creaking and squeaking in the rear of my 05 impala,it was the rear lower sway bar mounts, the rubbers over the sway bar on the left and right side,i took them off last year and greased them but it did not work, now while driving the car you can hear it all the time,i had a buddy bounce the car up and down while i was under it and i can feel and hear the creaking pretty good under the car but a lot more annoying while driving, anyone know what to do to fix it,get new bushings?,but to be a 100% sure before i buy them i want to take the sway bar off alltogether and drive her to make sure thats exactly where the squeak is coming from, what i need to know is what will the car react to having the rear sway bar removed for a while,i assume it should'nt affect her to bad for a while, anyone know what i can expect, not a high sped driver.

Re: rear suspension creaking

The rear sway bar's job is to help keep the car level in turns. If you remove it, the car will lean more during turns, but it can be driven safely for test purposes.

Thanks,i removed it and found out that it was the rear lower sway bar bushings, they are worn a little on each end,i put black tape over the sway bar then puts lots of grease inside the the bushings and fixed the annoying squeak, hard to believe that 2 small rubber bushings like that would be so noisey and hear it through the whole rear of the car

That did'nt last or was it the problem i thought it was,i put brand new inner sway bar bushings,9 bucks a piece and the squeak is still there, anyone think it might be the sway bar links that are attached to the rear struts

It was the 2 rear sway bar links that bolt to each of the rear struts that was giving me the rear creaking noise,$38 bucks each, fixed the problem
