wont rev up!

Ive got a 92 civic with a 94 jap engine. Acura 5 speed tranny.
Car will start right up and idle a little high, but it wont rev past 4500-5000 rpms. Not sure if its the computer or the distrubator.

Re: wont rev up!

You said 94 Japanese motor, Acura 5 speed tranny. What kind of motor? Is the ECU correct for the motor?

Re: wont rev up!

well first of all yea what kinda of motor is it? if you did a swap did you swap the right ecu into it?

reset your ecu by removing the fuse. it will most likely be in the engine fuse box. check your manual to see how long until it resets. and then replace the fuse
