Cool injector cleaning

I need to clean my injectors, but do not want to take them to a shop as the cheapest shop is asking around $150 to clean them. Does anyone know of any home cleaners or something I can buy to soak them in to clean them out or something I can do other than take them to a shop. Ideas????

Re: injector cleaning

I have cleaned mine with some carb cleaner before. Its good at breaking up "goo" that may build up on them. I just sprayed them real good and wiped them off with a clean rag. I have never had any problems doing it that way. Im sure there are many ways to clean them. Who is to say what way is the best? Keep in mind... No matter how you clean them, you will always find someone that thinks their way is better.

Re: injector cleaning

Internal contaminents are the real culprit. Service includes piping cleaner directly into the fuel rail system to clean the internals.

Re: injector cleaning

using berrymans 3 step all you would have to do is first step is a spray for the throttlebody fo the butterfly seats correctly second step is you take the vacuum hose off the pcv valve and allow the vacuum of the car suck the fluid into the manifold via vacuum and the third step is to put a cleaner in the tank aka injector cleaner and fuel rail three cans its real easy only tools required are a screwdriver and pliers
