2008 I4 or V6

I am most likely going to lease a 2008 Escape. I only test drove the V6 but now I'm wondering if I should go with the I4. I live in the midwest. I drive on mostly plowed streets - sometimes it takes a day to get them done completely - and on freeways. I do not plan on getting 4x4. Both the V6 and I4 have ABS and traction control.

The I4 has better mileage and costs less to start with but I'm not sure if the V6 will help in snowy conditions or if the stronger engines will help when merging into traffic on the freeway.

Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

Re: 2008 I4 or V6

1) Parts are 1/3 cheaper on a four cylinder than a six cyclinder.
2) I think you have to pull Intake off, just to get to rear spark plugs.
3) Put very little down or no money down on lease.
4) I always heard to go with 3-year lease, because you don't want to
be buying new tires + Breaks at the End.

The I4 installed in these are actually quite peppy and reliable engines especially when mated with a 5 speed manual.
