haven't seen a mrs swapped with a 2ZZGE engine but i've seen it with the turbo 3s-gte from the mr2, with this engine and bolt-on's you could have 300hp and 400 with 100shot nos lol.

I have heard of this two...its actually the way to go... The 3SGTE is a better motor...especially if you plan to build it into a big horsepower motor because its an iron block and it can take more horsepower without needing to strengthen it as opposed to the Celica motor which is a Aluminum block....you can import a JDM 3SGTE motor from J-spec auto for not that much and you'll have 225 stock...but with some turbo upgrades and motor work....mwahahhahha...it'd be intresting to note that the MRS that won the Japan Touring car series GT300 last year used a 3SGTE motor...not a celica motor...
and the 503E...a toyota race motor used in the Pikes Peak Celica is related to the 3SGTE motor not the new Celica motor |

Re: GTS engine into MRS
actually dark side....the 3sgte is a celica motor...started in 87 from a celica all-trac..then they put them in the 5th gen trac starting in 90-93. then in the 6th gens trac from 94-99, the mr2 sotra borrowed it for a couple of years.....its a true celica motor

Re: GTS engine into MRS
didn't they compete with the 2zz in jgtc before going back to the 3s, theres a LOT of parts you can get for it to make it go from TRD and stuff where they seem to have backed away from the 3s stuff... also.
something i've been wondering about, the car is sold as the MR-S in some markets but an MR2 in others, did it come with the 2ZZ in some markets?
