fuel not getting to motor

To the experts out there:

I am not getting any fuel after my '90 S-10 blazer runs for about 3 miles...I changed the fuel pump, fuel filter and am getting ready to change the fuel pump relay...it does have a full tank and the first time it happened, I thought it was out of gas, so we put some in and it ran for about 7 miles and stopped, then we changed the pump, then ran it for about 5 miles then it quit giving gas, I had my son spin the motor but there is no gas coming thru the injectors...I change the fuel filter and drove it the 3 miles and again, no fuel coming thru...my only ride so I need some help before I take it to a garage , thanks for your time...

Re: fuel not getting to motor

What engine and engine code?
Does it have good hot blue spark to all plugs when it quits?
Does the fuel pump quit or just lose pressure?

Good 12 volts on orange wire at fuel pump relay.

Is the gray wire to fuel pump getting 12 volts when ir quits?
Try jumping gray fuel pump feed wire with a 12 volt fused jumper and see if pump runs and has good fuel pressure.

The ign system has to have good spark for the engine to triger injectors.
Also check for lose of injector pulse.
Any check engine lights?
Is fuel filter good?

Re: fuel not getting to motor

Its actually a 4.3, not sure as far as the engine code but I usually buy items for the "z" type motor with the TBI...I will check the spark tomorrow, new fuel pump, don't think it quits, maybe losing pressure...haven't put new relay in yet, but will tomorrow, no check engine lights and yes a new filter, but one thing since you mentioned that it needs a good spark to tirgger the injectors...it just started to make noise around the distributor...I pulled the distributor and looked at the gear but didn't see any chips but now that you mentioned it, could it be the little black electrical thing inside the distributor? Anyway thanks alot for your time...

Re: fuel not getting to motor

Follow instructions for checking for spark. If the spark is good check for a bad pressure regulator as it will also cause problems.

Re: fuel not getting to motor

how long has it been since you change your gasoline? i had a fuel problem like yours my s-10 is a 87 is a 4 not a 6 but it was the fuel hoses that are inside the fuel tank and my relay was bad.if the relay is bad it will make your fuel pump stay on after the car is off.
