It means something is wrong, literally hundreds of possibilities from a loose gas cap to a finished engine. Go to AutoZone or Advanced Auto parts, they'll scan it for you and tell you what the failure is in the hope that you'll buy parts from them to fix it. Come back here with the secret code and we'll recommend a course of action.
