Went in forest to fish and got stuck in deep sand .I put in 4 wheel before going in, I find that it wasnt moving front wheels, what could be the problem for this .Had to be rescude from sand nightmare. Also is there a way to see if 4wheel works without putting in the air.

Re: 4x4

Year make and model and mileage would help?
Also what transfer case?
Any check engine or transmission lights on?
If push button transfer case shift buttons do the light up for a bulb check and the go out or flash or say what it is in?
Also run a search here on 4W /TRANSFER CASE problems.

When checking for locking in it is best to have all four wheels jacked up and jack stands under it.

Re: 4x4

Check front drive shaft for locking in and left front axle.
Does transfer case shift to low range?
