94 lumina electrical problem

My headlights, taillights, and dashlights do not turn on when i try to turn on my headlights. the brake lights turn on when i press the brakes and all the blinkers work, so basically everything electrical works in my car but the lights. I checked all the fuses and replaced the light switch with another used one and nothing helped. i looked under the drivers side fuse box for corroded wires but everything *seemed* to be ok.(started to rain hard shortly after i started) does anyone have any ideas that will help this problem?

im really stuck and headlights are a nice thing to have. oh this problem started after a really cold rainy and foggy day, i had trouble starting the car that day.

Re: 94 lumina electrical problem

Do you have power at the orange wire at the headlight switch? This comes from the "tail light" 20 amp fuse in the fuse block.....If you jumper the headlamp switch connector orange wire to brown wire do lights work?

Jumper a good ground to any black wire of a light that is inop--- do all the lights work? if so, then look for corrosion about the common ground terminal (from water intrusion) under front passenger seat- it takes both sides of a circuit to light the lights- never want to forget the ground sides....
