Determined to put in FP18g soon
Well hey guys I am going to be swapping in my 18g soon and was just wondering which way you think is the best to go about doing it.
First off when I put on my 16g the engine was out so I never really actually did it from ground up. So I was thinking Undo oil lines and water lines (Now what the hell do I do with the water lines recirculate them or cap them off cause the 18g doesn't use them) Then unbolt intake (no sweat) Should I take out the driver side fan? Next unbolt downpipe. Then remove exhaust mani and take out turbo plus o2 as a package I guess taking out the o2 sensor somewhere is a given too. Ok now gimme tips or anything like that let me know?

Re: Determined to put in FP18g soon
When I do it, first I get rid of shit in the way i.e. the intake. Then I unbolt the down pipe, but leave it bolted to the rest of the exhaust and take it off the hangers so it hangs low. Then I unbolt the water/oil lines. Then its turbo bolt time. If memory serves it takes some wiggling to get it out without messing up the lines too bad, but its usually doable.

Either cap them off or connect them together.

Re: Determined to put in FP18g soon
I'd cap them.
EDIT: When are you going to do work on it Stevie? I'm kind of interested in the difference.
