Drift Event!

I went to the Drift Event at Irwindale Speedway this past Sunday, and man oh man, was it awesome!!! I didn't even pay the 12 bucks to get in, I just stood in the parking lot and watched people drift. The amatuers were pretty fun to watch.. a M coupe and a really nice s13 tore it up pretty good. Even saw a WRX do an AWD burnout from a stand still!!!! And saw a evo 8 rally car go through the course once. Weird cars of the day: gutted accord trying to drift and a e46 3 series convertable drifting.

Now the most exciting part of the day was when the Pro's from Japan came out. Those guys were so amazing. They were awesome to the max. The came flying down towards the crowd at problay 50 or 60 mph swerving the ass end the whole way, then turns and drifts within 3 feet of me. Those guys were super amazing. Their cars were pretty damn amazing too! I didn't know how cool drifting was untill that day. Those guys just had so much damn control!!!!

whats an EVO 8 i know its not a Mitsu EVO 8 because Mitsu have only been able to go up to EVO 7 ....... so whats an EVO 8 ?

It's a Mitsubishi Evo 8 alright. They didn't bring the 7 to North America, so Mitsubishi restyled it slightly and added some things and they are bringing it to NA as this new style, here's a pic

yea, but they haven't released the evo 8 till last month supposedofly, the rally car should have just been an EVO VII
