car won't drive after LSD install

I finally finished my engine to 100% my liking this past weekend. I decided I was going to drive it out of the garage for the first time since september of 2005. Started the engine, everything was looking real good, but it in drive, and couldn't move forward (or reverse). All I have done since putting the car down for a rebuild was install a Quaife LSD. The install was pretty much straight forth. Checked numerous things including the shifter linkage, everything looked fine. I have come to two conclusions, either the torque converter isn't seated properly or something went wrong with the LSD install.

I put the car back on the jack stands and i've gotten it down to the point where i've disconnected the engine flex plate from the torque converter. The torque converter swivels around just fine, and feels like its seated properly.

Here's where I think I have come to a conclusion that something did go wrong with the LSD install. Having the car in neutral, i take one of my big 32mm (i believe) sockets and put it over the axle nut. I begin to turn the axle nut, which turns the axles. Then I put the transmission in park. I attempt to do the same thing, and the axles turned just like it did when it was in neutral (unless there's something i don't know). Now I am going to have to drop the tranny and open up the back of it, AGAIN, to see what is going on. This really gets frustrating after a while.

Re: car won't drive after LSD install

man that really sux. I know how frustrating it is to finish a project then find out you have to get back in there for something. The old 2 steps forward, one step back thing. Hopefully it's just a simple oversight and you get it fixed withought a headache.
So, will the tranny not engage drive? or is it like it's locked up?
I think you probably know more than anyone on here about the auto trannys...hopefully someone can help you. Would the TCU have anything to do with the issue?
One thing i do recall from swapping the ATX in my LeBaron, those torque converters are tricky. It can feel like it's all the way on there, but theres a key so that it will only seat properly in one specific position. I know you probably know that already, but just trying to help with what little knowledge i have

Sounds like your torque converter isn't installed into the trans all the way. This will cause the oil pump not to turn and you won't be able to move. When you pull everything apart, make sure the oil pump and torque converter are still good. Usually they go bad if they are installed improperly.
