Problems with 1997 328i stalling and idling wierd
Good day I have a 1997 328i that when coming to a stop my car seems to be stalling and when idling at a stop it sometimes idles up and down. The car seems to be doing this a loty when going and facing down hill. Also when I am slowing to almost a stop and accelerating again the car seems to be jerking into gear. Could this be a timing issue the car now has 99k? Thanks in advance.

Your car has a idle regulating valve attached inline with the MAF (go to realoem.com and look at your car and year and then fuel injection for the part and location). This valve may be cleaned by disconnecting it and spraying fuel injection cleaner through the open portion. Make sure the electrical connection is on tight as a loose connection will give odd idle symptoms.
