The Stealth Vs. Trans Am

On my home today with the new MAS in I thought it would be a good idea to test it out. Well, behind me is a Trans Am. We both go around the turn and neither of us floored it but we both gave it some beans once we got around the turn and I held him until someone pulled out in front of me. He goes past and I get in behind him and hold him and he gets into the right lane. And I managed to hold him until we caught traffic. I never went past 3/4 throttle.

Still not sure if it was an LT1 or an LS1 and I don't think he went WOT either. Still it was fun to race something worth the fuel for once.

Re: The Stealth Vs. Trans Am

nice to have a functioning car now, isnt it? You should find that guy again and have a legit race, seems like he has a pretty nice trans am. hopefully its a WS6, get a nice race with him in. Keep us posted on how the new MAS goes for you, i think the one on 701's or Torched's stealth/3kgt is going out making the thing run squirrely..

Now that i mention it i think he just got that fixed...?

Anyhow, keep breaking that MAS in and let us know how the beast performs!

good race. if it had hood scoops for a ram air it was an ls1. if it had 2 non funtional vents it was an lt1.

Yeah, never clean a vortex style MAS. The new MAS is working great. The car actually idles better, once warm anyhow. There is something else wrong as the cold idle is at 2,000 but once it warms up it's normal. If the MAS is having issues the car will run pig rich and the idle will be very sporadic.

I would like to find him again since the car is running pretty good and I did the free boost mod so I would like to do a WOT run.

Well, if my memory serves me I believe it was an LT1 in that case. I'd like to race him again though I'd bet I should be able to take him.

Good race. Stock you shouldn't have any problem with a LT1 assuming you are still boosting the same as the second gen's. Even if you aren't, you should still have the upper-hand. Although, those LT1's and LS1's do respond well to mods. So if it was a bpu LT1 it might make it a little more fun.

Yeah, I can feel a difference since pulling the BCS plug. It's not huge, but it's noticeable. It was some high school kid driving and I gave him a thumbs up. I'm sure I'll run into him again.

Re: The Stealth Vs. Trans Am

yea you shouldnt have a problem with a stock lt1. they are so restricted through intake and exhaust. my cat delete and 3 inch cut out really woke my car up. the sad thing is most lt1s have been beat on so not many perform up to par.
