Welcome to the forum!

Instructions for programming the remote? You shouldn't need to, it should just work with the factory DVD player.

Are the batteries in the remote good? Any sign that batteries have leaked in the remote? If the batteries are good and the contacts are clean, this remote may have broken solder joints on the IR transmitter. It seems to be pretty common for the solder joints to fail, especially if the remote has been dropped or tossed around a few times. It's a simple fix if you are handy with a soldering iron.

I don't know if it moved for the 2003 model year from 2002 (I doubt it). In the 2002 model year the Central Security Module that the keypad interfaces with is located behind the rear seats on the Right Hand side. I'm not sure if you can remove a little access door somewhere to get to it or if you'd have to remove the right hand rear interior trim panel.
