Windshield washer tank sensor

I have a '94 Lincoln TC Cartier, 4.6L

The "Low windshield washer fluid" warning light is on, even though the washer tank is full. Would this be a sensor issue? If so, where can I find the sensor? I've looked all over for one, but I've been unable to find one.

This is the number I found on the sensor: F3AU17B649AA

If I cut the wires going to the sensor and hook them up together, would that permanently turn the warning light off?

Thanks,

Re: Windshield washer sensor broken?

Update:

I was told that I could just unplug the sensor and the windshield light would go out. I thought about it and weighed my options.

In the end, I decided to just unplug the float sensor, and the light went off, and the problem is solved. (I figured that I have a sensor that will never break- no windshield washer liquid coming out- that will tell me that I'm out of windshield washer.) Thank you guys, for your input.

Re: Windshield washer sensor broken?

That right!
We don't need no light to rub it in, and tell us this shit an't working.

Who cares if the door bell don't work, just knock on the door.

Keep it Real!
