95 2.3quad achieva, valve cover problems

I have a nice oil leak at the valve cover location and I attempted to remove the valve cover closer to the front of the engine..Since i had the fuel rail out for cleaning it was easily accecable.

I removed all the bolts on top(10 i think) and the power steering pump or whatever that thing is, attempted to take the valve cover off but the cam inside went up with it? I've never seen an engine setup like this, and i am truely confused. I have that achieva service manual from autozone but it's no help. I could not get the valve cover out, so i just installed the bolts back in..
Also where exactly is the fuel pressure service port on the fuel rail, i did not see one on this 95 achieva 2.3quad engine.

Please help me out!

Welcome to AF.

YEah sometimes the cam will pull out when poping off the valve cover.
Did you replace the gasket ?
....thats most likly whats causing your leak.

And you did torq them bolts to spec I hope ?!

Your Quad doesnt have a fuel port, you have to install a hose with a gauge, you can rent/buy at most part stores.

It was just a lot of work, and it needed a new head which wasn't feasable..

We decided to donate the car instead.
