One kill, one very close death.

So first night i got the LSJ out, a friend of mine pulls up in a 2004 Grand Prix GT. Revs at me a little bit, and tells me to race when the light turns green. So I hold it at about 2500 rpms and launch from there.

THUNKTHUNKTHUNK wheelhop for the lose.

But that only lasts a second as i ease up a bit and let her grip on the tires that look like racing slicks they have so little tread left on them. (Factory stocks, 27k on the car. need to get them suckers replaced soon) Shift to second, bring the SS up to about 75 (this is residential, same road i raced that honda on in my other thread) and look in the rearview.

Put 5 lengths on the thing

Then today I rode with TorchedStealth over to a GM dealership where my car was, getting a burned out blinker bulb replaced. On the way back to our side of the river, we decide to run em over the bridge. He honks it down from a 40 roll, and the twin screams of the superchargers actually melted the face of a nearby malibu driver, God rest is soul. I pull about a foot on him right away, and then nobody does any pulling. We stay dead even for god knows how long, through about 80. Then he hits a goofy spot in the road and burns the tires a bit. In third. at 80mph. i pull about half a length on him, but he gets back even with me and by the time we hit 105 he had about 3 feet on me. Damn intake got me in the end

All in all, a damn good race with him and a fun kill with the Grand Prix.

Got my sights on a green s14 around town i want to have some fun with next, ill let you know how that goes.

Re: One kill, one very close death.

My second goes to 90ish mph.

Nice kill on the GP... Try one next time with a s/c and it should be a much better race...

Re: One kill, one very close death.

Nice race... 2 LSJs duking it out. Pretty sweet. I like your story telling skills too. The part about the face melting on the Malibu owner was pretty good.

I'm sure you'll get the hang of the launch... try slipping the clutch when racing. I'm sure you'd never actually ride the clutch normally. Anyway, slipping the clutch usually will spin the tires a bit but will catch faster and you won't have that clunk clunk wheel hop

Keep the kills coming!

Re: One kill, one very close death.

Good kill. First one is always nice.

My first gear goes to 15, second goes to forty, third to 70, 4th to 110, 5th will get me above 145, and I haven't topped out sixth yet.

Oh, and seeing that you have shoddy front tires...wanna buy some 85% healty Potenzas?

Re: One kill, one very close death.

Ha i think he forgot the part where he shifted to 3rd. Our 1st goes to about 30, 2nd to 60-65, 3rd to around 95, 4th to 125-130 i believe.

We are gonna have to run them again on rough sex road (inside joke )...that way there will be no 3rd gear burning. Then we will test out each car with the boost bypass mod and find out the results.

Re: One kill, one very close death.

yeah lol i forgot about the 3rd gear shift. my bad and yes, the face-melting will continue as me and Torched drive the LSJs around and continue our crusade to kill every single ricer who has ever touched God's green earth.

But seeing a red Ion Redline and a Blue Cobalt SS/SC flying across a bridge at 105 from the opposite direction, neck and neck, screaming like banshees would have been sex to my eyes. Im sure some people were confused

And i try to spice the stories up a bit like that, it will be like that whenever i post races, so be prepared for the occasional pirate to show up and steal my rims just before a race, and the resulting epic chase of him in his pirate ship and the tow truck i commandeered for that purpose. Explosions will abound. I am actually planning to make that into a movie...

Hehe, come here. There are plenty of little fish wanting to bite off more than they can chew.

Very nice man!

Re: One kill, one very close death.

Haha well im sure that anywhere else in this country where the population density of people is more than the population density of horses. We unfortunately dont have that luxury. Most vehicles around here are ricers and big ass trucks. And the ricers usually pull the fly by and then vanish into their lairs before you can even drop a gear to go after the bastard.

I would be more than happy to go down there to Utah and see what i can find. Anywhere but here really would work for me. Torched actually has something brewing that i may jump in on, details on that later...
