Engine Trouble

Hello,

I drive a 99 Z24. Last night everything worked fine, i went and filled up gas. This morning when i started the car it shook like crazy. Then whenever the RPM's would drop under 1200 the car would shake again. I checked my levels and noticed my coolant and oil were a little low. I added coolant and oil, but i put to much oil into it. I drove it to the mechanics but on the way it smelt like something was burning, like rubber or the belts. Looking back i noticed a HUGE cloud of smoke(it got worse when i put oil in). They cant look at it until tommorow but i was wondering if perhaps anyone could tell me what i might be looking at? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Was it coming from the exhaust pipe or from under the hood ?
