99 aurora a/c not cooling

Now its time to use the a/c and for some reason it's not cooling well. I don' t have manifold gauges but I do have a simple refill line with a gauge on it. Low side pressure is 42 psi, compressor runs continously. Also it seems that the small vent on the passenger side just to the right of the center console is blowing cold air while all the rest aren't but this I think? Any ideas, thanks

Re: 99 aurora a/c not cooling

Sounds like you are having the same problem I am on my 1999 Aurora, still waitng for a response. I believe it is a vacum module since I had it repaired at the dealer when we bought the car a few years ago, but the problem is back. did not take them long to fix, but as you know the dealer charges way to much, but most AC shops do not seem to be vary familure with the Auroras.

Re: 99 aurora a/c not cooling

but if the pressure is too high, won't adding more freon make it even higher?
