99 Duratec oil leak-pan?
My 99 Duratec (132,000 miles) has an oil leak that I thought was an oil pan gasket leak. I took it to a mechanic for an estimate. He said the valve cover (right one, of course) was leaking. I ordered the gasket set and puller the upper intake manifold last Saturday to change plugs, wires, and the valve cover gasket. I got my inspection mirror out and could not find a valve cover gasket leak. Climbing under the car, it looks to me like the oil pan. Question: How hard is it to R&R the Y pipe to remove the oil pan? My Hanes manual says I have to disconnect and remove the O2 sensors first. The back one looks like a real pain to get to.

Re: 99 Duratec oil leak-pan?
I changed a rear o2 sensor, I bought a shortened version of then standard o2 wrench, worked lioke a charm, i believe it's pretty tight down in there if I remember correctly, but the worst was threading the connector up thru to the mating end
