Head lights work but NO rear or dash lights

When i turn my car lights on only the front head lights come on........... The dash board and rear lights wont come on..............But the brake light does work...................

i had this same problem on my nissan sentra... after tracing the entire wire from back up i found a pinched wire in the steering colum... hope this helps.

that possible but the wierd thing is that i have an after market automatic start alarm system on my car.........And when i push the automatic start button the dash and back lights will come on but once i put the key in the dash and back lights go out......

sounds like a wire in the "brain" box from your starter then... dont know what else it could be. sorry
