Which one is faster? Have they ever had a rivalry thing going?

Festiva all the way! The build quality was ten times better than the Yugo, which would rust out within two years, if it still ran by then. I once saw a Festiva on a used car lot with 300k miles. that should attest to their durability. You would be hard pressed to find a Yugo with half that many miles. They just didn't last. I'd imagine speed is about the same. I've never driven a Yugo, so I don't know. I do know, that the Festiva handles great and gets better milage than a Toyota Prius hybrid. Plus they are readily available on the used car market for about what you'd pay for the illusive surviving Yugo
