Exclamation **Tutorial: How to EASILY attach custom mufflers AND be able to ADJUST them...**

Okay, ever make a dope custom muffler, but have to attach it all ghetto to the chassis? Well here is an easy tutorial that will have your model looking good, and let you play around with how the exhaust pipe sits. Want it slanted? No problem...this tutorial will explain everything. I hope this helps.

What You Will Need:
-Hobby Knife
-Custom Muffler that YOU made
-Glue
-1 Toothpick
-10 minutes

1. First Step: With your hobby knife, take your custom exhaust and begin to "drill" a hole in the can part of the muffler. *Note: Make sure you measured out how far back the muffler will sit, and know the exact location to drill before you start.* You can "drill" the hole by pressing the point of the knife into the muffler while turning it in a circular motion. Eventually it will go through the muffler.

2. Second Step: Take the toothpick, and cut it at about two thirds the way. Now, glue the small cut part into the hole you just drilled in the muffler.

3. Third Step: With the same technique as used in step one, drill another hole with your hobby knife, this time in the chassis. Make sure it is measured out correctly, and "test check" where the toothpick needs to go in so it sticks out just the right distance. *Note: I chose to drill out the original "stub" where the stock muffler went in, but you don't have to.

4. Fourth Step: Insert the muffler (with the toothpick in it) into the hole that you just drilled in the chassis. Then, push the muffler down all the way.

5. Fifth Step: From the top of the chassis, place a drop of glue on the toothpick. You don't have to do this, if it feels like it is held in pretty tightly.

6. Sixth Step: Adjustment. The exhaust pipe can be angled, raised and/or lowered. If you lower it, it would be smart to paint the toothpick black, so you cannot see it.

Normal.

Angled: Twist the muffler.

Lowered (helps create clearance for the rear valance): Push the toothpick (from the top of chassis) down.

This is how i prefer it:

Hope this helps. Ask questions if you are confused/curious about something. Thanks.

~Ryan
