'02 Engine "knock"?

I have a '02 CR-V EX 4WD with 82K miles. It is making a light 'knocking' sound especially when first started, but seems to be most of the time, can hear it most at idle. I bought the car with 71K and after a couple of weeks thought I heard something, but it seemed intermittent. Now it seems to be more consistent. Does not use any oil and performance/mileage are fine. Any thoughts? I have not done the valve adjustment.

try better fuel also make sure you have the right weight of oil in it knocks can be caused by the valves not getting enough oil too and low grade gas
