Talking New kompressor c-class and V6 sports coupe

I went on mbusa.com the other day and looked at the awesome new C230 Kompressor sedan. I was astounded by the car becasue it is reasonably affordable (starts at $28,500) and it's a Benz! In addition, the new C320 sports coupe is a rocket! 215hp in a medium weight hatch is sure to peppy. The C320 sedan does 0-60 in 6.7-7.0 and the ligther sports coupe should manage around 6.3 to 6.5 in my opinion. Base price for the V6 sports coupe is advertised as $28,500 and I am sure it will attract many new buyers into the Mercedes family.

P.S. My friends mother owns a 96' C280 and I have to admit that even after all of these years the car looks spectacular. The interior materials are very high quality and the engine stills pulls with intensity if one decides to dip into the throttle. Mercedes is truly the best at everything that they do!

Yeah, once I saw that mercedes introduced the new sedan and coupe, I definitely put it on my list when I looked for cars about 3 or 4 months ago. between the lexus IS300, bmw 325i, infiniti g35 coupe, and audi a4, i chose the mercedes c320 coupe because it was definitely the best out of all. although the g35 offers 280 hp 6 cylinder, the mercedes came in second engine wise with its 3.2 v6 and 215hp in that small coupe body. and you're absoultely right - it's a little rocket, it hauls! i havent quite timed it yet, mercedes says 0-60 in 6.8 seconds, but i think it's probably a little less than that. because it's such a good lookin car, i not only get tons of looks, but people try to race me every so often and so i go for it. thus far i've beaten a lexus IS300, tied, literally neck and neck a bmw 330ci coupe, and beaten a subaru wrx. i'm impressed with it's performance.
the handling and overall ride is great, i love the stiffness of the vehicle, like it's sure on the road and sticks to the road. and the sport tuned suspension helps give a better overall ride i can tell from driving in a regular c-class.
overall, have no complaints. it is an amazing car and i give mercedes big props for getting smart and targeting younger people as audi and bmw already have. i see lots of young people driving their bmw 3 series' or their audi a4's. now im startin to see more in the mercedes c-class and it makes me happy. out of the three, i'd have to say mercedes is in line to surpass bmw and it's number 1 ranking 3 series.

Well I got the C32 amg and its an awsome car. The C320 is fun too. And im glad that they but the 230K in a W206. I think it is just what the car needs to attract more buyers.

C230wz

I got the '05 C230 Komp. Sports Sedan (this board wouldn't let me enter '05 in my profile for the car.)

Its sweet. Awesome interior. I never expected a four-cylinder to be so smooth. Benz did a great job of isolating the sound of the engine from the front of the car to the exhaust in the back. It's got a great exhaust note. I'm waiting for 1000 miles before i hammer on it a little but i can already tell there's a lot of punch and responsiveness in the little 1.8.

It was nearly impossible to get mine with a manual without having it special ordered. I ended up with one of 3 in the country w/a stick shift. I got the Pewter color with every option imaginable except the Nav. Thats the only thing about Benz & BMW, they nickel and dime you for everything, even the paint! In comparison, Acura is much more generous. But I still went with the Benzo...you know why? There's something different about German cars, especially rear-wheel drive ones. No Honda, Toyota, or Nissan has impressed me like the 3-series and now the new C-class.

Here's a pic:

Re: New kompressor c-class and V6 sports coupe

I was looking at the c-class too and thinking about getting one next year (for my birthday) but I'm still deciding on which, the mercedes c-class kompressor sedan or the bmw 3series.
