wheels and tires

found some new wheels and tires for my 96 metro LSI for a steal they re 185/70R13 from a toyota and i was wondering if they'll fit my car. I currently have 175/70R13. The guy said his tires are 4-100 bolt pattern,i dont know what does that mean and if that's the size on my metro.

Re: wheels and tires

You need 4x114, that's the diameter of the bolt circle.

Re: wheels and tires

If you measure your bolt pattern on your Geo, you will notice that when measured directly across from each other ( Diagonal ) they will measure 4 1/2". This also comes out to be 114.3mm The bolt pattern you got with the Toyota wheels is 4 X 100 or 4 x 4". Sorry but they will not bolt onto your car.

Re: wheels and tires

I thought so too, in addition i didn't want to devestate my gas mileage by putting on wider tires where gas is around 4$.i get great gas mileage and i want to keep it that way.
I appreciate it the inputs.

Re: wheels and tires

Going from 175 to 185 is not going to make any appreciable difference. The wider tire will lose mileage a very slight bit, but the added diameter will improve it a very slight bit.

Re: wheels and tires

Hey I have a 94 geo metro with 12 inch rims. now I work in a junk yard and have been watching for some 13 rims and so far none match the bolt pattern besides a 95 and up metro. so I guess the question is what other car matches the geo metro bolt pattern?

Thanks
Lance

I just bought a set this week at the local yard. They never have any newer metros so I bought a set from a mitsubishi mirage.
