Towing package?

My 2001 GC has a towing hitch in the back but how do you know if it had the towing package from the factory?

By the way what came with the towing package from the factory?

towing package came with nivomat rear self leveling shocks. Just take a look at your rear shocks , if they are huge and look like they belong on a heavy duty pickup truck then you have the factory towing package , which also comes with heavy duty radiator , oil cooling, transmission cooling and a full size spare.

Can you look up what came from the factory with just the VIN number of the vehicle?

Pretty sure the dealer can look it up by VIN number and tell you what it came with .

Does anyone know what the part number is for the nivomat shocks and what the part number is for the regular (non-tow package) shocks?
