We have a 1995 APV and the previous owner took the window regulator out of it, we are going to put a new one in but don't have access to the Big pop rivet gun, Has anyone tried using Bolts??

Re: 95 APV Window?
I would rent the rivet gun it only takes a few minutes to use ,bolts will not work-too small of an area.

High
Is the APV a recent acquisition? (in addition to Trailblazer and Silverado? Just if it helps, when needed, you have access to a lot of files here www.avigex.ca/xport, including www.avigex.ca/xport/regulatorfig6.jpg www.avigex.ca/xport/regulator.jpg

Re: 95 APV Window?
3/8 hex head bolts 5/8 long 3/16 diameter with a washer and a lock nut
Plenty of clearance - works fine no need to rivet replacements We own the Lumina APV van 1995, first the passenger side auto window motor quit and later the drivers side I went to the auto salvage yard and got the manual crank assembly this was an somewhat easy removal as the inside of the doors are the plastic/fiber glass and can be cut apart When home I simply drilled out the rivets then did the same to the auto assemblies in the doors, the door panels had a marking for the manual window crank so I did not have to measure for the hole |
